Mini Football in aid of Niamh Curry

Vicarage Farm Youth FC held a fund raising Under 9's, 7 a side football tournament in aid of local girl Niamh Curry at the Old Grammarians Sports Field.
Twenty teams participated in this worthwhile cause with everybody seeming to enjoy their day.
More importantly a substantial sum was raised for Niamh Curry's specialised therapy.

“My name is Niamh and I am 5 years old. In September 2011, I was devastated to find out my neuroblastoma had come back. Neuroblastoma is a very aggressive type of cancer that mainly affects babies and young children like me.“ Brave Niamh has already endured many, many different cancer treatments in the UK  — but her best chance of beating this awful cancer lies  in America. However, this potentially life-saving treatment is likely to cost in the region of £450,000 ! Niamh’s mum and dad hope that she can start her specialised therapy in America early this year and so Niamh’s friends and family aim to raise as much money as possible for this life-saving treatment.

Great Fun in a worthwhile cause
IMG were again invited to cover this event which has proved to be successful on previous occassions.
Well done to the Kettering Rotaract Club (part of the Rotary Club) for organising this fund raising event.
It proved to be great fun whilst also raising funds for some good local causes.
The event was well attended with all the participants involved giving the evening a great atmosphere.fund raising fancy dress

Easter Show Jumping

We were invited back to cover the North Norfolk Schools Easter Show Jumping Competition near Fakenham in Norfolk.
Eight schools took part and sent one to three teams to compete in four different classes.
Although the competition was high, the main emphasis was in having a good fun day and for the schools to mix.

Again, this was very well organised and the day went off with no hitches (apart from a few bumps and bruises).
Thanks to the organisers and the owners of Lime Kiln Farm, we hope to see you there again in June.

Duo-span marquee at the Nottingham Games
IMG were asked to cover the RWE npower Games at Nottingham University Campus on 4th September 2010, which was open to all the employees of RWE npower.
What a great day this turned out to be, with approximately one thousand employees participating in events such as Dragon Boat Racing, Football (11 & 6 a-side), Rounders, Netball, Rowathlon, 5k & 10k Run and ‘Tug Of War at the end of the day’.
Follow all this with a Presentation evening and party in the massive duo span marquee and you can see why so many participated.
A special thanks to Zoe Eccleston from npower and Sarah Street from Judgeday for making us feel very welcome and giving us a day to enjoy as well.
Below are a few snippets of the day, but to see the whole days’ photos

P.S. A big thanks from me (and the reaction of the participants) to our 3 photographers of the day who produced some amazing results. Norman Rubenis, Mark Eaton and Tom Catnach.
